Ted Lanarás, a renowned Greek singer and entrepreneur in the textile industry, has always had a passion for music. Born in Greece and raised in Greece and Switzerland, he dedicated himself to honing his craft. Lanarás studied music and singing in Greece, piano in Switzerland, and repertoire in Belgium and Spain under the esteemed baritone Francisco Valls. He also refined his repertoire skills under the guidance of the master Norman Milanés.
Throughout his career, Lanarás has graced various prestigious venues and events. One of his notable performances was at the Palau de la Música in Valencia, where he showcased famous boleros such as “Amapola,” “Perfidia,” and “Noche de ronda” in a concert titled “Songs of the Mediterranean.” Lanarás also delighted the audience with tangos like “El día que me quieras” and Italian songs like “Non ti scordar di me,” “Musica Proibita,” and “Guarda che luna.” To add a touch of diversity, he even included a popular Greek song in his repertoire.

Lanarás has released two albums in his career. The first, titled “Mediterranean…,” was released in 1998 under the label Bel Canto, showcasing his exceptional vocal abilities and his love for Mediterranean melodies. Two years later, he released his second album, “Camino Privado,” which focused on Spanish popular melodies.
In 2002, Lanarás had a successful performance as Madame Butterfly’s Sharpless at the Gran Teatro de la Habana. Under the direction of Elena Herrera, he captivated the audience with his powerful and emotive performance.
