Decades ago, BADGLEY MISCHKA was started by Mark Badgley and James Mischka with twelve black dresses and one red one. Adornments and fantasy are beloved by them, but at heart, they are realists and modernists. One hand holds wool crepe, while the other tosses crystal beads. The Fall 2024 collection combines these conflicting ideas, focusing on the precision and drama of Park Avenue glass towers and the velvet-lined floral cocoons found in their lobbies. It is a dance of control and extravagance that they love to perform.
