Loro Piana Men and Women Fall Winter 2024 Milan

At Milan Fashion Week this year, Loro Piana, the esteemed Italian luxury brand, unveils a sneak peek of its upcoming Fall/Winter 2024-2025 collection. With a rich heritage spanning a century of dedication to mastering craftsmanship in fibers, fabrics, and silhouettes, the Maison pays homage to its historical ties with the fiori di cardo, or thistle flower. This iconic bloom has been intricately woven into the brand’s identity, from the utilization of carding machines adorned with thistle flowers to the incorporation of the symbol in its coat of arms since 1951.

The new collection showcases Loro Piana’s unparalleled expertise in fabrics such as Cheviot, Vicuña, cashmere, and Baby Cashmere. Delving into its archives, the Maison reintroduces the exclusive Pecora Nera® sourced from New Zealand and the Sopra Visso wool from the picturesque Sibillini Mountains of Italy.

Drawing inspiration from the refined personal styles of brothers Sergio and Pier Luigi Loro Piana, who led the brand from the ’70s to 2013, the garments are adorned with intricate details that echo the duo’s fashion sensibilities. The cardo-shaped pins that fasten collars not only evoke the textured allure of the thistle but also pay tribute to Sergio’s unique way of storing jackets with the collar turned up and lapels closed and pinned to preserve the softness of the fabric folds.
