The Valencian Audiovisual Berlanga Awards achieved significant success

The Valencian Audiovisual Industry’s Berlanga Awards were a resounding success, and HRH Princess Keisha Omilana and her SAXSMAG team were honored to be invited to the prestigious gala at Palau de les Arts. The Valencian Upon their arrival, the organizers greeted Princess Keisha and her team with the utmost respect and admiration, displaying a deep understanding of royal protocol. At the entrance of the venue, Princess Keisha had a lively conversation with Teresa Cebrián, the president of Acadèmia Valenciana de l’Audiovisual, discussing the importance of supporting the film industry and promoting emerging talent. It was clear that Princess Keisha and her team were highly regarded and appreciated at the event.

 

They were given the best seats in the house, sitting just two rows away from the stage, providing them with a perfect view of all the award winners.

 

The sixth edition of the Berlanga Awards celebrated the best Valencian audiovisual productions of the year. Two films, ‘Kepler Sexto B’ and ‘Olvido’, emerged as the big winners of the night.

‘Kepler Sexto B’ took home a total of eight awards, including Best Fiction Feature Film, Best Screenplay, Best Original Music, and outstanding performances by its lead and supporting actors. The film also received recognition for its exceptional cinematography, art direction, and lighting. It was also honored with the youth award for the best feature film, a category decided by the votes of the Academy’s junior members.

 

Another notable film, ‘Olvido’, directed by Inés Paris and produced by La Dalia Films, received five awards. The film, a poignant drama about memory and identity, touched the hearts of the audience and impressed the jury with its powerful performances and thought-provoking narrative. It received accolades for Best Actress, Best Screenplay, and Best Editing, among others.

The Performance of the night

The awards ceremony, held at the Auditorium of the Palau de les Arts in Valencia, was a grand affair. Esteemed guests, including the regional secretary of Culture and Sport, Paula Añó, and the president of the Acadèmia Valenciana de l’Audiovisual, Teresa Cebrián, graced the event. Representatives from various Valencian institutions and the audiovisual sector also attended, highlighting the importance of the awards in recognizing and promoting local talent.

 

The gala itself was a lively and entertaining spectacle, thanks to the direction of Rafa Piqueras and the hosting skills of actress Mireia Pérez. The script, written by Carlos García, kept the audience engaged throughout the night. Musical accompaniment by Roqui Albero added an extra touch of excitement to the event.

The Berlanga Awards of the Valencian Audiovisual Industry continue to grow in prestige and importance, solidifying Valencia’s position as a hub for creativity and innovation in the audiovisual field. This year’s winners, including the best original song and the youth award for the best feature film, highlight the exceptional talent and the opinions of the younger generation.
